About Maktabah Bookshop

Maktabah Bookshop is a Muslim-owned independent bookshop serving the Dallas-Fort Worth community and families across the United States. We are a curated source for Islamic children's books, Muslim-authored literature, educational resources, and gifts for Muslim families.

We started Maktabah because Muslim families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area — and across the country — were buying books from stores that did not know them. Books where no one prayed, no one fasted, no one had a name that looked like theirs. Every title on our shelves is chosen with intention: for literary quality, for the breadth of Muslim voices it represents, and for the child or adult who will actually read it.

We carry board books and picture books for the youngest readers, early chapter books, middle grade, young adult, and adult titles. We also carry Arabic-language children's books, Quran learning tools, educational games, and Islamic home goods.

In addition to our online store, Maktabah runs curated book fairs at Islamic schools, weekend schools, masjids, and community events across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and across the United States. We bring over 100 titles, a full point-of-sale setup, and a Book Fair Manager who handles every detail from first inquiry through final repack.

We are based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and ship nationwide.
