The standard school book fair has a problem Muslim schools in Dallas-Fort Worth know well. The titles are fine. The characters eating sandwiches and celebrating Christmas are fine. But none of it reflects the children walking through the door.
Maktabah book fairs are built differently.
What we bring
We bring over 100 hand-selected titles to every fair — board books, picture books, early chapter books, middle grade, young adult, adult titles for the parents browsing alongside their children, Arabic-language books, Quran learning tools, and activity books. Every single title passes the same curation standard: literary quality, authentic representation, and books that belong in a Muslim home.
No filler. Nothing that does not earn its place on the table.
We bring a full point-of-sale setup so your school does not have to manage cash or coordinate payment. We bring a Book Fair Manager who handles every detail from the first planning call through the final repack. Your job is to tell your families we are coming.
How your school earns
Schools earn a percentage of every sale made during the fair. The more families participate, the more your school earns. Many of the Islamic schools Maktabah has worked with across DFW use their book fair earnings to fund classroom libraries, purchase Quran learning resources, or contribute to scholarship funds.
Who we have served in DFW
Maktabah has run book fairs at Islamic schools, weekend schools, masjids, and community organizations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area including schools in Dallas, Plano, Irving, Richardson, Frisco, Allen, McKinney, and surrounding communities. We also run virtual book fairs for schools that prefer an online format.
How to book
We are currently booking fairs for the 2026 to 2027 academic year. Fall dates fill early — typically by late summer. If your school is interested, the best time to reach out is now.
